JAMMU, Feb 12: Nagrota Police rescued two minor girls and arrested their abductors.
As per police sources, two different complaints were lodged by family members with Police Station Nagrota stating that their minor daughters are missing since January 1, 2022.
Acting over the complaints, cases under FIR Numbers 04/2022 and 05/2022 under Section 363 IPC were registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Inspector Vishav Pratap Singh under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar was constituted.
The team did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV cameras footages finally rescued the girls from Trikuta Nagar and Gangyal areas vis arrested their abductors identified as Ram Krishan, son of Puni Ram of Chattisgarh, at present Trikuta Nagar and Sanjay Kumar, son of Dhani Ram of Chattisgarh, at present Gangyal.
The girls were produced before Child Welfare Committee and after completing medical and legal formalities they were handed over to their family members.
Further investigation into the cases is going on.
