Two injured in road mishap, woman succumbs to burn injuries

JAMMU, Jan 8: Two persons including a seven-year-old boy was injured in a road mishap in Gole Gujral area of city outskirts while a woman succumbed to her burn injuries here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
According to a police spokesperson, Gulab Singh (40) son of Ram Singh and Harjeet Singh (7) son of Taranpreet Singh, both residents of Rajpura (Jammu) were injured when the car they were travelling in collided with a parapet in Gole Gujral area of city outskirts this evening. Both were shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment. The concerned police have taken cognizance.
Meanwhile, a woman who was undergoing treatment for her burn injuries at GMCH Jammu since January 6 passed away today. The woman has been identified as Ranjeeta, wife of Arun, a resident of Bathindi. After conducting postmortem, the body of the deceased woman was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
