SRINAGAR, Jan 8: Police today said they have arrested two gamblers and recovered stake money over Rs one lakh from the gambling spot in Kunzer area of Baramulla district.
A police spokesman said on a tip off, a police raided a gambling place near Lalpora in Kunzer and arrested 2 gamblers identified as Jahangir Ahmad Rather and Nazir Ahmad Sheikh while gambling.
“Police recovered the stake money of Rs. 100500 from the spot. However, two more gamblers Mehraj-u-Din Malik and Manzoor Ahmad Rather managed to escape. Police after registering a case launched the man hunt to nab other two gamblers,” the spokesman added.
