Two hideouts busted, cache of arms, ammunition recovered

JAMMU, Oct 12: Army today recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from twin hideouts in mountainous Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
‘Based on specific intelligence inputs about presence of militants in Makhiddhar Forest area, a joint search operation was launched by troops of 60 Rashtriya Rifles, Uniform Force and Jammu and Kashmir Police at Reasi district,’ an official spokesman here said.
He said during searches, one AK 56 rifle, 18 Rounds of AK 56, two magazines (rusted), 50 Sniper Rounds and two rounds (rusted) of 7.62 MM SLR were recovered.
He further said that in second operation at Dhanubhan area, west of Ichni Nullah at 1630 hrs, one AK 56 rifle, three magazines and 40 rounds were recovered. (Agencies)
