JAMMU, Oct 12: Police arrested two persons along with 45 pouches of illicit liquor from Sidhra area.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Nagrota police station and Sidhra police post laid a naka and intercepted two persons on suspicious grounds near Sidhra.
During checking, police recovered 45 pouches of illicit liquor from their possession and nabbed them in the spot.
The accused have been identified as Bansi Lal, son of Tara Chand of Shahpur and Puran Chand, son of Tara Chand of Majalta.
A case under FIR Number 226/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at police station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Dilip Singh and Incharge Police Post Sidhra SI Noor Mohammad made the arrests under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma, SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
