JAMMU, Mar 27: Police in Trikuta Nagar area here claimed they have arrested two drug peddlers with 4.78 grams of heroin-like-substance.
A police spokesperson said that one Tahir Iqbal of Poonch and Parveen Akhter of Rajouri were arrested with the consignment.
The accused have been booked in case FIR number 69/2024 under sections 8/21/22/25/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and further investigation taken up.
The arrests were made by a team of Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO concerned Inspector Amit assisted by incharge Police Post Narwal, PSI Sanjeev under the supervision of SDPO East Sheezan Bhat and SP South Ajay Sharma.
