JAMMU, Mar 27: A drug peddler was arrested with 20 grams of heroin-like-substance from Bajalta area here today.
A police spokesperson said that a party of Police Post Sidhra led by PSI Arun Sharma during patrolling in Bajalta area apprehended one person who tried to flee on seeing the police party.
During search of the apprehended person identified as Mohit Sharma of Chak Largan, Bajalta, Jammu, he said, 20 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered.
The accused has been accordingly booked in case FIR number 103/2024 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Nagrota and further investigation taken up.
