JAMMU, May 14: Two drug peddlers were arrested with 26 grams of heroin-like-substance from Gadigarh area here today, a police official said.
He said acting on a tip-off, ASI Swarn Singh and his team established a naka at Dharap for vehicle checking duty.
During the operation, he said, a Swift car (JK01AB-4108) was put to search. On search of the vehicle, he said, 13.86 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered from the driver of the vehicle identified as Asrar Ahmed Wani of Srinagar and 12.38 grams of heroin-like substance from one Tariq Hussain of Batwara, Srinagar.
Both the individuals have been booked in case FIR number 89/2024 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Satwari and further investigation taken up.
