Two found dead

JAMMU, Sept 1: A man was found hanging today in Bantalab area of city outskirts while another man was found dead behind Asia Hotel in Jammu.
According to a police official, a 21-year-old youth namely Anuj Srivas son of Dalip Srivas, resident of Chattisgarh, was found hanging with an electric pole in Ganganagar area of Bantalab this afternoon.
He said as soon as the locals noticed, they shifted the youth in unconscious condition to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
“The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary room of the hospital while inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC has been initiated in this connection at police post Chinore,” the official added.
Meanwhile, a truck driver namely Daljeet Singh (45) son of Raghuveer Singh, resident of Ward Number 2 (Simbal) was found at backside of Asia in suspicious condition. “Prima facie, it appears that the man died of cardiac arrest but the exact reason will be known only after postmortem,” a police official said.
He said that the body has been shifted to mortuary room of the GMCH Jammu while inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC initiated in this connection by police post Nehru Market.
