JAMMU, Sept 20: In two separate cases, two persons ended their lives allegedly by consuming some poisonous substances in City and its outskirts.
According to police sources, a 52-year-old man identified as Sethi Ram son of Taru Ram, resident of Chumbian Brahmana (Bishnah) allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his residence following which he was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where he expired today at around 10:55 am during treatment.
Similarly, they said, a 28-year-old youth namely Tahir Hussain son of Jamal Din, resident of Reasi (at present living in Bathindi area of Jammu near Makka Masjid) also consumed some poisonous substance at her sister’s house (Government Quarter Number 37) in Jewel area. He was also shifted to GMCH Jammu for medical treatment but he passed away at about 11:40 am.
“Both the dead bodies were sent for postmortem while concerned police had taken cognizance in both the cases,” sources added.
