JAMMU, Sept 20: BJP leaders have expressed serious concern over the denial of ration to Kashmiri migrants for last three months who are totally dependent on Government relief after their mass exodus from the Valley.
Addressing a meeting of Kashmiri migrants here, today, senior party leaders of BJP Kashmir, Hira Lal Bhat and Moti Lal Bhat said it is unfortunate that these hapless people have been made to suffer by the authorities at the helm of affairs.
Expressing their serious anguish and concern over the apathy and indifference of concerned authorities, who seem to be in deep slumber, while the hapless Kashmiri migrants are starving as they have not been given ration for last three months. This is for the first time in the history of 33 years of migration that genuine and deserving people have been put in lurch for want of ration, they added.
They said it is ironic that the authorities at the helm of affairs in Relief Organization are showing no concern to the screams and cries of the suffering migrants as if they have abdicated their prime responsibility of extending relief and succor to Kashmiri migrants.
They said how these hapless families can survive without ration as they are totally dependent on Government support . It is a pity that nobody in the administration is taking responsibility of forcing the innocent children of these hapless people to starvation which is a crime.
What is their fault?, they asked. Does the authorities’ want these people should come on road and start begging, they questioned?
It is evident that some bureaucrats in administration are hell bent to tarnish image of UT as well as Central Government led by Narendra Modi to further the agenda of their erstwhile political masters. They demanded that such people must be identified and isolated.
They said the sinister designs to push the Kashmiri migrants to corner, by certain vested interests will be fought tooth and nail and their malicious intentions will be defeated.
