Srinagar, July 14: Police have detained two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A police spokesman said that policemen during their routine checking at Wanigam in Baramulla intercepted an Auto load carrier driven by Umer Ali Dar accompanied by Ishfaq Ahmad Kaboo. “On search 2 ½ Kilograms of poppy straw was recovered from the vehicle. A case under FIR number 44/2017 under section 8/18 NDPS Act was registered and investigation was taken up,” he said.
