JAMMU, May 9: Two boys including a minor died today due to drowning in Tawi river at Lalyal area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, two Gujjar boys identified as Bimu (22) son of Bichoo and Mohd Arif son of Mohd Yousuf (15) drowned this afternoon in Nikki Tawi at Lalyal area when while trailing their buffaloes they entered into the River, which was deep enough at that particular spot.
The police with the help of locals launched a search operation and after hectic efforts the bodies of both the boys were fished out and finally handed over to their legal heirs for last rites.
