Two die, 14 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, June 9: Two persons were killed and 14 others were injured in different road accidents across the Valley, police said today.
Abdul Aziz Bakerwal, 70, son of Khan Mohammad of Palma, Rajouri, was critically injured after he fell down from a moving bus (JK02AD/8367) at Hurpora, Shopian in south Kashmir. He was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.
A tractor driver, Javid Ahmad son of Ali Mohammad of Kawacheck, Baramulla, was killed when his vehicle (6646-JK04) met with an accident at Kawacheck, police said. His was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
Six persons were injured at Chandhara, Pampore, when a passenger Auto (JK01N-3176) rammed into a Tipper (JK04B-1994) near Chandhara crossing. The injured were shifted to sub-district Hospital Pampore for treatment, police said.
In a collision between an Indica car (8679-JK01M) and an Alto car (1820-JK05C) near District Forest Office, Langate, Handwara, seven passengers including both the drivers were injured. They were shifted to SKIMS, Srinagar, for treatment, police said.
Elsewhere, a Maruti car (3726-JK01) hit and injured a pedestrian Nazara daughter of Mohammad Paswal of Kalakoot Rajouri at near Monghall bridge, police said. She was shifted to District Hospital, Anantnag for treatment, police said.
