JAMMU, June 9: Police today arrested four persons including a woman and recovered 20 kg bhukki from their possession in Karan Bagh area under the jurisdiction of Satwari police station.
The narcotics smugglers, arrested by the police, have been identified as Bala Devi, 30, wife of Balwinder Kumar R/o Bhour Camp, Ashok Kumar alias Bittu son of Krishan Lal R/o Gambhir Barahamana, Rajouri, at present Bhour Camp, Vinod Kumar son of Nand Lal R/o Ward No. 1, Bhour Camp and Mukesh Sharma son of Roop Chand R/o Bhour Camp.
Police said the accused were arrested during a surprised raid conducted at the house of Bala Devi.
At the time of arrest, police recovered 20 kg bhukki from the accused. They were being questioned to ascertain sources of the narcotics consignment. A case has been registered against the accused for further investigations at Satwari police station.
Police parties headed by SP City (South) Satwari Rajeshwar Singh made the arrest.
