Two days Principals Conference of KVS commences

Jammu, Nov 15: Two days Principals Conference of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Jammu Region commenced here at the auditorium of Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Gandhi Nagar.
In the conference, fifty-one Principals, Incharge and Officiating Principals of Kendriya Vidyalayas spread over parts of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and entire J&K State are participating.
On the occasion, AVLJ Rao, Deputy Commissioner, KVS, Jammu Region was the chief guest, while as AS Gill and D R Meena, both Asstt Commissioners of KVS, Jammu Region were also present.
The conference started with recitation of Shlokas by the Vidyalaya children followed by welcome songs. The ceremonial lamp was lit by the chief guest and other dignitaries present on the occasion.
TR Choudhary welcomed the guests with the presentation of bouquets and a formal welcome address.
AS Gill presented the keynote address to highlight the purpose and aim of the conference. He said that this conference is meant to review the progress and developments in the resolutions approved during the previous Principals Conference during the month of July, 2014. He added that it is appropriate to observe these developments now so that the drawbacks and deficiencies are taken care of during the remaining part of the session. He further added that special sessions have been planned to tackle with the complaints of the students, parents and teachers etc with proper proceedings and procedure.
Speaking on the occasion, AVLJ Rao, said that it is important to undertake new schemes and their implementations for the improvement in academics at various levels. He added that then it becomes more important to monitor these developments from time to time. He said that the emphasis on these ideas was the main purpose to hold this conference. He further said that this conference will help to understand the problems faced by the stake holders and steps to be taken to sort out and resolve those problems. Analysis of results of the tests conducted so far and the developments and the necessary steps to be taken for the needful is the main purpose of this conference.
