Two critically injured in truck-car collision

JAMMU, Nov 5: Two persons including a J&K police Constable were critically injured in the collision of a truck and a car near Akhnoor bridge falling under the jurisdiction of police station Gharota.
According to a police official, a Wagon-R car bearing registration number JK02AG-5288 which was on its way from Jammu to Khour this evening, collided head on with a speeding truck (registration number JK08C-3624) coming from opposite side.
In the mishap, three occupants of the car were injured and two of them critically. The critically injured persons namely Constable Vikram Singh (posted at DPL Jammu) son of Balwan Singh of Khour and Jagtar Singh (26) son of Anant Singh of Akhnoor were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for medical treatment while third person had minor injuries and discharged after providing first aid in a nearby hospital.
In this connection, Akhnoor police had registered a case under relevant sections of law and seized both the vehicles involved in the accident.
