JAMMU, Oct 21: Police today arrested two criminals and recovered a pistol with nine rounds from their possession, which they had stolen from a jawan of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Jyotipuram under the jurisdiction of Reasi police station.
Arrested criminals have been identified as Sonu son of Ghare Lal and Sunny son of Govind Ram, both residents of Madhya Pradesh, presently putting up at Jyotipuram.
They were subjected to questioning during which they admitted their involvement in stealing pistol and rounds from Onkar Nath Bhagat son of Amar Nath Bhagat, present posted at CISF unit, Jyotipuram.
Police have recovered .32 mm stolen pistol and nine rounds from the possession of accused. They had hidden the weapon at their residence.
Arrests and recovery of weapon were made by police team headed by Incharge Jyotipuram Police Post Sub Inspector Vinod Sharma under the supervision of SSP Reasi Tahir Sajjad Bhat, DySP Headquarters Reasi Dr Nikhil Gogna and SHO Reasi Inspector Jasbir Singh.
