JAMMU, Nov 30: A woman of Nagrota (Billawar) and a young girl of Janipur ended their lives by consuming some poisonous substances at their respective residences.
According to a police spokesperson, Sapna (30) daughter of Shadi Lal, a resident of Sector-2, Pamposh Colony (Janipur, Jammu) this morning consumed some poisonous substance at her residence following which she was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where she expired at about 11.40 am.
Meanwhile, a woman identified as Sunita Devi (25) wife of Krishan Lal, a resident of Nagrota (Billawar), who was shifted to GMCH yesterday after she consumed some poisonous substance at her residence, expired today at about 2.35 pm.
After completing all medico-legal formalities, the bodies of both the deceased were handed over to their legal heirs for last rites. In both cases, the concerned police have registered cases and started investigations.
