JAMMU, July 21: A 25-year old man of Budhi (Kathua) and a 42-year old man of Kangwal (Samba) who had allegedly consumed some poisonous substances at their respective residences expired today at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
According to a police spokesperson, a youth namely Sumit son of Subhash Chander, a resident of Budhi Santhal (Kathua), consumed some poisonous substance this afternoon at his residence following which he was shifted to GMCH Jammu, where he expired at about 7 pm.
The dead body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting post mortem tomorrow.
Meanwhile, a 42-year old man namely Jung Bahadur son of Ramsaran, a resident of Kangwal in Samba who was admitted yesterday here in GMCH after he tried to end his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence, passed away early this morning.
After conducting post mortem, the dead body was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites.
In both cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
