JAMMU, July 21: Panun Kashmir has lambasted the State Government for indulging in discrimination against the Kashmiri Pandit female teachers in particular and displaced teachers from Kashmir valley in general.
In a joint statement here today the PK convener, Dr Agnishekhar and its chairman Dr Ajay Chrungoo said the female teachers have been transferred to Kashmir at a time when the community has already been subjected to religious cleansing for over last 25 years.
Terming the order of the State Government as fraught with serious ramifications for the community PK has termed it as the State sponsored genocide to destabilize the community and subject it to inhuman treatment. To take the stock of the serious situation that has emerged in the community PK convened an emergency meeting here today.
Addressing the meeting PK Chairman, Dr Ajay Chrunoo said it speaks volumes about the seriousness of the incumbent Government about the safety and security of the KPs besides their return and rehabilitation. It also exposes the duplicity of policy makers who on the one hand beat drums about the return of the KPs and on the other hand are subjecting the female teachers of the community into such a society where the radical forces are active as has been evident with the unfurling of Pakistani and ISIS flags under the very nose of so called democratically elected Government.
He said when the Government is not able to make free flow of Indian Constitution possible and when Jehadi forces rule the roost, how come they can ensure the safety and security of female teachers in such a radicalized society.
Taking the State Government to task Dr Agnishekhar termed it a well calculated move to break the KP families who are already in exile and are waiting for the justice. By subjecting these teachers to join services in a hostile and communally fragile social set up the State Government is hell bent to trivialize the genocide and bail out the persecutors responsible for ethnic cleansing of KPs from Kashmir.
Agnishekhar warned that PK will mobilize public opinion nationwide and defeat the communal forces who are subjecting KPs to discrimination even after religious cleansing.
