Two bootleggers held

BHADERWAH, May 7: Police arrested two bootleggers and recovered 77 pouches of illicit liquor from their possession.
A police spokesman said that, a police team from Bhaderwah police station intercepted a Maruti Van bearing registration JK06-1966 near Bhaderwah Campus of Jammu University.
During checking, police recovered 40 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the bootlegger, who has been identified as Fareed Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mustafa of Udrana, Bhaderwah.
Meanwhile, Police also arrested another bootlegger who has been identified as Anil Kumar, son of Behari Lal of Monda Sartingal, Bhaderwah. 37 Pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession.
Cases under FIR number 49/14 and 50/14 under Section 48-A Excise Act have been registered at police station Bhaderwah and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bhaderwah police station made the arrests under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda Mohammad Sharief Chouhan.
