JAMMU, Jan 20: Gandhi Nagar police has arrested two bike lifters.
As per police sources, on January 18, a complaint was lodged by Jeevanjot Singh, son of Gurcharan Singh, a resident of Nanak Nagar stating that his Pulsar motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AP-0470 has been stolen by some unknown persons from his house.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 20/16 under Section 379 RPC was registered with Police Station Gandhi Nagar and manhunt was launched to nab the accused persons.
On specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar police station apprehended the accused, who have been identified as Rishi Dev Singh, son of Vasu Dev Singh Jamwal of Sainik Colony and Vishal Singh Charak, son of Gautam Singh Charak of Kartholi Bari Brahmna. On their disclosure, the stolen bike was also recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team headed by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Bishnesh Kumar and assisted by ASI Om Parkash made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta, SP South Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
