JAMMU, Feb 6: Traders Welfare Association (TWA), General Bus Stand, Jammu today urged Governor NN Vohra for early start of work on interstate and all routes Bus Terminal and multistorey parking at General Bus Stand Jammu.
The issue was raised by Association president, Romesh Kumar Tak along with other office bearers during a press conference held here today.
Tak said that the foundation stone for the project was laid by the then Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah on September 2, 2014 but even after the lapse of five months the work on the project has not been started.
He urged the Governor to start work on the project as soon as possible for the best interest of locals, passengers as well as tourists. He further said the preference should be given to affected shopkeepers for the allotment of shops which will be constructed at the same building.
Surinder Relly, Sudesh Suri, Rajan Gupta, Babu Ram Dogra, Tara Chand, Vipen Gupta, Sham Lal Sharma, Taran Gupta, Vijay Anand, Deepak Sharma and Goldy Singh were present in the meeting.
