SAMBA, Oct 30: The police seized a tractor trolley loaded green timber and arrested one person in this connection.
A police spokesman said that a police party led by SHO Ramgarh, Kuldeep Kumar, on the information of men from District Special Branch (CID) intercepted tractor trolley bearing registration No. JK02AC / 8123 carrying timber being transported illegally from Jerda village to Nandpur.
The driver had no valid permission for the transportation of this timber. The police party seized the trolley along with timber and arrested its driver Sat Pal Singh, son of Tej Singh, resident of Kothe Saini in Bishnah. A case Fir No. 74/2012 was registered under 6/15 Forest Act in this connection.
