JAMMU, May 14: People from different walks of life especially Brahman community, Dogra Brhaman Pratinidhi Sabha Jammu and other social activists paid rich tributes to Bhagwan Parshuram on the eve of Bhagwan Parshuram Jayanti from their respective house because of COVID lockdown restrictions.
Pertinent to mention here that the three days celebrations already has been cancelled by the Sabha due to prevalent scenario.
DBPS President Ved Prakash Sharma, VM Magotra, Advocate PC Sharma, NC Sharma, Satyanand Sharma, Subash Shastri, Romesh Sharma, Advocate Chander Mohan Sharma, Sat Pal Sharma, Raman Sharma, Gurdas Sharma, Sunil Sharma, Prem Balotra, Jagan Nath Sharma, KL Sharma, ML Padha, Ex DC BS Jamwal, Dev Raj Sharma, Sat Pal Raina, Advocate DN Pagotra, SS Baru and other units of the sabha while paying tributes to Bhagwan Parshuram also prayed for well being of the people around the world.
The people offered prayers and lighted earthen divas and hope for peace and prosperity of the people. They also appealed to the people to stay at homes and maintain social distancing.
They further lauded the services by doctors, paramedical staff, paramilitary forces, J&K Police, NGOs, Akhil Bharatiya Dharam Prachar Sewa Samiti volunteers and others. They said UT J&K administration is leaving no stone unturned to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
