Tribute paid, park announced on name of martyr Tarsem Lal

R.S PURA, June 10: General Secretary of All J&K Panchayat Conference and Sarpanch Panchayat Gandli, Gurdeep Singh Saini along with family members of martyr Rifleman Tarsem Lal and prominent people of the area paid glorious tribute to the Rifleman on his 24th martyr day at his ancestral village Gandli.
Rifleman Tarsem Lal of 12 JAKLI was martyred on June 10, 1999 during Kargil War.
Speaking on the occasion, Gurdeep Singh said that sacrifice made by Tarsem Lal, who was born to Buti Ram and Tripta cannot be forgotten. He announced that a beautiful park would soon be built in the name of the martyr along with a monument near his statue for which funds are being approved.
He also informed that a government school in the village would also be named after the martyr.
Family members of the martyr also expressed pride that their son had made the supreme sacrifice while serving the nation.
The programme was attended by many locals, Naib Sarpanch Pyare Lal, Panch Satya Devi, Panch Somnath, Panch Pawan Singh, Darshan Singh, S. Harjinder Singh, Amar Singh Charak and others who paid tributesto the martyr.
