Transport Welfare Association calls on Advisor Bhatnagar, suspends strike

JAMMU, Mar 8: A delegation of Transport Welfare Association Jammu, called on Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar here today.
The delegation, led by T.S Wazir, Chairman, Transport Welfare Association, Jammu, comprised of Vijay Kumar, Mohinder Singh, Manmohan Singh and Vijay Singh Chib besides representatives of various Transport Associations of Jammu.
The delegation raised several issues and problems with the Advisor besides apprising him of various difficulties faced by the transporters on day to day basis in Jammu region.
The Advisor assured the delegation that all of their genuine issues will be considered sympathetically and resolved on priority.
Later, on the assurance of Advisor, the delegation decided to suspend the strike of transporters scheduled to be observed from 10th March, 2020.
IGP Traffic, J&K, T. Namagyal; IGP, Jammu, Mukesh Singh; Transport Commissioner, J&K, Pradeep Kumar; Special Secretary Transport Department, Rahul Sharma; RTO Jammu, Dhananter Singh besides others were also present.
