JAMMU, Feb 27: One person was killed, while another was injured when a tralla they were traveling in turned turtle near Panama Chowk, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar police station.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number PB23E-9205 was on its way to Railway yard from Punjab, when the driver lost control over the steering, resulting the vehicle turned turtle near Panama Chowk.
In the incident, driver and conductor of the vehicles received serious injuries and were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced conductor of the vehicle identified as Qadir, son of Khaleel, a resident of Uttar Pradesh as brought dead.
The condition of the injured driver namely Saieem, son of Zameel hailing from Uttar Pradesh was stated to be out of danger, when last reports came in.
A case under FIR number 41/14 under Section 279, 337, 304-A RPC has been registered at Nehru Market police post and investigation started.
