JAMMU, Jan 29: Vehicular movement remained disrupted on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway after a petrol tanker caught fire under mysterious circumstances.
As per police sources, fire broke in a petrol tanker bearing registration , which was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu. Due to fire in the tanker, the vehicular movement on the highway got suspended.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and informed the Department of Fire and Emergency Services.
Fire fighter along with tender reached the spot, but till then the whole tanker got damaged in fire.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the incident.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the cause of the fire.
