Srinagar, May 16: Authorities have ordered a temporary diversion of traffic on the Sopore Bypass Road till Monday morning to facilitate repair work on the bypass bridge.
According to a notice issued by the Office of the Additional District Magistrate Sopore, vehicular movement on the bypass road will remain diverted from 7 pm on May 16 till 7 am on May 18 following a request from 56 RCC Beacon for smooth execution of repair works on the bridge.
Officials said traffic moving between Sangrama and Sopore will be rerouted through Degree College and Badam Bagh during the diversion period.
As per the order, vehicles travelling from Sangrama to Sopore will follow the Sangrama–Degree College–Badam Bagh route, while traffic from Sopore towards Sangrama will ply via Badam Bagh–Degree College–Sangrama.
The administration has also directed magistrates already deployed in the area to remain present on duty at designated locations to ensure smooth regulation of traffic during the diversion period.
