POONCH, Aug 19: Despite increasing incidents of ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and International Border (IB), the cross LoC trade at Chakkan-Da-Bagh in Poonch has picked up.
An official spokesman said hat today, trade worth over Rs 2.87 crore took place at Chakkan-Da-Bagh. From Indian side 25 trucks loaded with goods including ‘Jeera’ and dry chillies crossed over to PoK. The value of goods was put at around Rs 1.46 crore.
The goods worth over Rs 1.41 crore including almonds and herbs arrived here in three trucks from PoK side. TFO Surjit Singh from Indian side and TFO Afzal Khan from Pakistan side facilitated the trade.
