JAMMU, Aug 2: DDC Member Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony on Monday appealed LG’s Advisor, B.A Khan to improve power scenario in the border belt by augmenting the transformers which are much below the capacity as the people in these areas are confronting frequent power outages due to worn-out power infrastructure.
Tony was interacting with people of Beaspur, Parlaah and Satraiyan villages in Suchetgarh during a visit to know problems of the people.
He assured to fulfill all promises which he had made with the people during poll campaigning and asked the concerned JE to immediately replace faulty cables and ensure equal distribution of load in the Beaspur village.
The DDC member also directed PHE officials to install a public water point in Parlaah area.
He also held public meetings in Ward 8, Satraiyan and Khalki Satraiyan.
The locals rued dismal condition of lanes-drains and Tony directed officials of RDD to come out with DPR and start work on lanes-drains soon after the rainy season.
On demand of Ward 8 people regarding 100 KVA transformer and replacement of worn-out power cables and up-gradation of existing 100 KVA transformer with one of 250 KVA, Tony assured that all the genuine demands will be fulfilled soon.
The DDC member was accompanied by Sukhdev Singh Manhas, Arun Dev Chib, Kasturi Singh, Shama Chib, Sunita Chib, Karan Singh Chib, Swarn Chib, Panch Tarsem Chib, Darshan Chib, Chain Chib, Dr Balbir Kala, Puran Chib, Dr Satpal, Tara Singh, Sarpanch Shashi Kumar, Surinder Singh, Renu Devi and Ashok Singh Fougi.
