RAMBAN, Aug 3: A toddler was killed and four others, including his mother and minor brother, were injured when the Bolero car they were travelling in skidded off the road and rolled down into Tangar Nallah on Chanderkote-Kastigarh link road, here today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02AV -9777 was going from Rajgarh to Dessa area of District Doda, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into Tangar Nallah on Chanderkote-Kastigarh link road, resulting into death of a 3-year-old boy and injuries to four other passengers.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals.
All the injured persons were shifted to PHC Rajgarh from where they were later referred to District Hospital Ramban for advanced treatment.
The deceased boy was identified as Pritam Singh (3), son of Balwant Singh of Hiller, Rajgarh district Ramban, while the injured were identified as boy’s mother Nisha Devi, 22, his elder brother Ansh, 6, Bihari Lal, 66, son of Balli Ram and Deepak Singh, 32, son of Bihari Lal, both residents of Gai of Dessa area in district Doda.
The lady was going to her parental house to celebrate Raksha Bandhan.
Rajgarh police has taken cognizance in this regard.
