JAMMU, June 11: A meeting of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) was held here today in which the speakers claimed that residents of Trikuta Nagar are harassed by Jammu Development Authority (JDA) official on one pretext or the other.
They said that it seems that JDA has not maintained their own land record of allotted land as every time JDA officials ask for certain files which are not available with JDA office.
“There are two cases where all the required formalities have been fulfilled 2-3 years back but every time JDA official raise some objection,” TNWS members said adding that the concerned authorities should look into this and put all the land records online and the works should be done in time-bound manner.
They also expressed resentment against power curtailment in fully metered areas. Another issue they raised was that of street lights which have not been repaired by the concerned agencies and the complaints are not responded in this regard.
The meeting chaired by Rajinder Parshad Kakkar, president TNWS and attended by large number of Trikuta Nagar residents prominent among those were Ashok Kumar Arora, Vijay Gupta, Deepak Daftari, S. Amarjeet Singh and N.K Bali.
