JAMMU, June 30: While welcoming Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement on Kashmir and Article 370 in Lok Sabha where he called the provision ‘temporary in nature’, former Minister and State chief of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) today said that time is ripe for scrapping of Article 370 in the State.
In a statement issued here today, the NCP chief said that he has complete faith in the abilities of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to deliver a mortal blow to the sponsors of terrorism in the Valley. He hoped that under Shah the Kashmiri Panits would finally be rehabilitated in their more than 5000-year-old home.
The former Minister also demanded some more action on corrupt people and politicians. He said there are numerous serious complaints against ex-chief ministers, ex-ministers, ex-MLAs, ex-MLCs and also retired and serving bureaucrats, whose properties have spread from Valley to, Jammu, India, Middle East and England. Randhir demanded further strengthening of Anti Corruption Bureau.
