DODA, June 23: Gandoh police arrested a timber smuggler along with 30 timber scants, which he was carrying illegally for personal gains.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Gandoh police station seized 30 illegal timber scants from the possession of Mohammad Ayaz, son of Bashir Ahmed of Tilograh, tehsil Gandoh at Malikpora.
The smuggler was carrying the timber scants for his personal gains.
A case under FIR number 52/14 under Section 379 RPC and 6 Forest Act has been registered at Police Station Gandoh and investigation started.
