JAMMU, Aug 19: During the intervening night of August 18 and 19, three thefts took place in Sainik Colony area on city outskirts, raising security concerns among the inhabitants of the area.
According to the reports, the unknown thieves stole 3 tyres of an Alto car (bearing registration number JK02CP-5895) belonging to a lady residing in House Number 246 in Sector D. Similarly, one rear tyre of an Alto car bearing registration number JK02BA-7534 was stolen in Sector F of the Colony.
Another theft took place in Sector E of Sainik Colony, where 2 rear tyres of an Alto K10 car (bearing registration number JK02CA-8303) belonging to Abhay Rajput was stolen by unknown thieves. As per reports, all the three vehicles were parked by their owners on roadside outside their houses when the thefts took place last night.
The victims have submitted written complaints regarding theft of tyres of their vehicles at Police Post Sainik Colony. When contacted, Incharge Police Post Sainik Colony SI Bhawani Singh said that they have received three theft complaints and they are trying their best to catch thieves.
