JAMMU, May 23: Three shops including a small unit manufacturing folding beds were damaged in fire in Canal Road area.
A Fire and Emergency Service official said that a fire broke out inside a small unit manufacturing folding beds which later engulfed its two adjoining shops in Canal Road area today morning.
“Exact cause of fire is yet to be ascertained”, he said adding that on receiving information, four fire tenders were immediately pressed into service with team of fire fighters.
After hectic efforts of several hours, the fire was brought under control.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the incident, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
Nowabad Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
