RAJOURI, May 23: The police nabbed three persons during Excise raids in Nowshera area and seized 10 liters of illicit liquor.
Official sources said that a raid was conducted by Nowshera police party at village Lamberi where one Girdhari Lal alias Maru, son of Saristi Dass, resident of Lamberi, near Christ School was found selling illicit liquor adjoining his house. Five liters of illicit liquor was seized from the spot.
In this regard a case FIR No. 88/2020 under 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Nowshera against him. The person has been arrested.
Meanwhile, another police party conducted raid at village Dabbar and two persons namely Yogesh Kumar, son of Ved Parkash and Mohan Lal, sons of Prem Chand of Dabbar were found distilling illicit liquor in forest area near Shahia Morh. Five liters of illicit liquor was seized on the spot. A case FIR No. 86/2020 was registered against the accused persons who were also arrested.
