SHIMLA : Three people including two women, were buried alive under the debris of a house that collapsed in Sakrini village of Darampur sub division of district Mandi about 120 km from this capital town.
A house collapsed after torrential rainfall and cloudburst early this morning, police sources said. In all three houses were grounded and damaged after monsoon fury causing massive loss to life and property in the area.
Darampur bus stand was hit by flash flood and cloudbursts, washing down half a dozen of private buses and vehicles in the muck. The bus stand filled with muck and flash flood dragged down buses 50 mt away from the original place.
Sakrini village was the epicenter of natural calamity as three members of a family were buried there. The deceased were identified as parent and wife of ill fated house owner Roop Lal.
Overnight incessant rains kept life out of gear as most rivers are flowing above danger marks and major dams started brimming. This capital town recorded heavy rainfall over night and it was still continuing. The Met office has forecast rainfall in many places during the next 24 hrs as well. (AGENCIES)
