Three consume poison

JAMMU, Apr 21: Three persons including a young woman today allegedly made abortive attempts on their lives by consuming some poisonous substances at their respective residences in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a woman Promila Devi (33) wife of Vikas Kumar, resident of Sujalpur, consumed some poisonous substance at her residence following which she was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment.
A 31 year-old man identified as Rajan Nischal son of Ravinder Nischal, resident of Panjtirthi, also made a vain attempt on his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence. He was also shifted to GMCH for treatment.
Similarly, an 18-year-old boy namely Ravi Kumar (18) son of Dharam Chand, resident of Malkechak (Phlian Mandaal) also consumed some poisonous substance. He was also taken to GMCH, where he is undergoing treatment. In all three cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance in the matter.
