Three commit suicide by hanging

JAMMU, Aug 3: A teenaged girl was among three people who hanged themselves to death in separate incidents in this winter capital of the State.
“One Vishal Sharma (28), son of Surinder Sharma and resident of House No 247, Patoli Mangotrian was found hanging in the bathroom of his house by the family members,” police here said, adding he was mentally disturbed for last some days due to unknown reasons.
They said the deceased used electric wire to hang himself. The body has been handed over to the family after legal formalities while a case has been registered for further investigations.
Meanwhile, in another incident one Shanti Devi (14), daughter of Lala and resident of Kuti Bazaar, District Baheria, Uttar Pradesh, at present living in a Jhuggi in Patoli Mangotrian area along with her family, ended her life by hanging herself. “She was found hanging on a tree,” police said, adding she was mentally disturbed for quite some time and her treatment was also going on.
In a separate incident, one Bikram Singh (32), son of Ravinder Singh Pathania, resident of Douliaan (Bari Brahaman), at present staying with family in Sector-1 of Model Town, Gangyal committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling fan.
“We have registered the cases under relevant Sections,” police said and added that no suicide notes were recovered from any site of the incidents.
