SAMBA, Aug 3: A meeting of Congress workers was held under the chairmanship of senior Congress leader and member, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), Arun Kumar Sharma, at Village Mahal Shahan (Ramgarh) along border belt of Vijaypur constituency.
While speaking Arun Sharma drew the attention of the party workers towards the prevailing situation in the constituency and loss of Vijaypur Assembly seat thrice in the elections held, in 1996, 2002 and 2008. He stressed upon the party workers and delegates to work hard for strengthening the party in this border belt.
He said that he was ready to co-operate anytime and anywhere with the people for this purpose. Others who spoke on occasion were Bishamber Singh, Darshan Singh, Dr Ram Murti, Dr Yash Pal, Capt Bhalla, Raj Kumar Verma, Onkar Singh, Sumiter Singh, Ved Prakash, Som Sharma, Mansa Ram etc.
