Thieves decamp with 40 tolas of gold

SAMBA, Sept 27: Another case of theft has come to light in Raya village of Samba district where the thieves stole 40 tolas of Gold and about six thousand cash from the houses of two real brothers.
For the fourth time in the last five days theft has taken place in Vijaypur area, of Samba district which has made people panicky and scared.
Sneh Lata, wife of Dhyan Singh said that at around 6 pm on Sunday, she went to Samba along with her son and daughter-in-law for checkup from a doctor but around 8 o’clock when they returned she saw that all the doors of the house were open. When she entered inside the rooms she was shocked to see that all the things kept in the cupboard were scattered and that thieves had broken into the house. She said that 30 tolas and 6 thousand rupees have been stolen from the room of his sons Pradeep Singh and 10 tolas from Amit Singh’s room.
She said that the information was given to the Vijaypur Police Station and police visited the spot and also registered the case.
