JAMMU, May 14: Police today said a TATA Sumo thief arrested by Narwal Police recently has turned out to be an absconder wanted by Nowabad police.
Narwal police had arrest Sohail Iqbal alias Honda alias Raju son of Mohammad Iqbal R/o Mohalla Ustaad in connection with theft of a TATA Sumo. The stolen vehicle was recovered from him.
During investigations of the case by Narwal police team headed by Sub Inspector Hillal Azhar, it was revealed that the accused was also wanted to Nowabad police as he was absconding in a case and had been declared as an absconder.
The accused is being handed over to Nowabad police, where a non bailable warrant was pending against him.
