Thief arrested with stolen items worth Rs 2.20 lakh

RAMBAN, Aug 7: Dharamkund Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen items worth Rs 2.20 lakh from his possession.
As per police sources, on August 4 this year a written complaint was lodged at Police Station /S Dharamkund by Zahoor Ahmed Masoodi Senior Administration Manager HCC Sumber regarding theft of 500 mm M S Pipe 200 Diameter, 6 meter steel 12 mm ring, 12 mm steel 60 meter ring type, 16 meter steel 500 mm and scrap steel approximately 2.5 ton kept in various work.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 42/2022 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Dharamkund and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Dharamkund headed by SHO Inspector Sam Paul Gill and assisted by PSI Arjun Singh after hectic efforts finally nabbed the thief, who was identified as Sajjad Ahmad, son of Mohd Shahban of Village Hirnal Tehsil Khari District Ramban.
On his disclosure, stolen items worth Rs 2.20 lakh was also recovered.
The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SDPO Gool Nihar Ranjan and SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
