JAMMU, Sept 4: Khour Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen property from his possession.
As per police sources, on July 13 this year, a complaint was lodged by a man namely Rakesh Gupta with Police Station Khour that some unidentified person(s) have stolen his auto load carrier.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 51/2021 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Khour and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Khour led by SHO Inspector Balvinder Singh and assisted by PSI Akhil Sen was constituted under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial.
The team on the basis of technical inputs and human intelligence, arrested the accused person namely Ajay Kumar, son of Bihari Lal of Palatn Tehsil Khour District Jammu from Shahpur Kandi Pathankot Punjab and on his disclosure the stolen auto load carrier was also recovered from Pathankot Punjab.
The accused was also involved in other theft cases and as such more recoveries are expected.
The arrest and seizure was carried out under the guidance of SP Rural Jammu Sanjay Sharma.
