JAMMU, Mar 24: Nowabad police worked out a burglary case with the arrest of thief and recovery of stolen items.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Manager of Hotel Grand at Sant Market namely Dheeraj Kumar with police station Nowabad stating that some unidentified person had stolen items LCD worth Rs 12,000 from the hotel.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 41/16 under Section 454 and 380 RPC was register at police station Nowabad and manhunt was launched to nab the accused.
During investigation, several persons were detained for questioning and out of them, one of the person broke down and confessed to commit the theft.
On his disclosure, police recovered the stolen LCD. Other stolen items including one screw driver, one tab, one Camera and tool kit were also recovered from his possession.
Further questioning of the accused is going on.
Police team led by SHO Nowabad Inspector Raghubir Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Sugandha Mahajan and SP City North Dr Vinod Kumar.
