Theft solved, 2 nabbed with stolen property

RAJOURI, Feb 3: The police in Kalakote of Rajouri claimed to have worked out a case of theft arresting two accused involved in the case and recovering stolen property worth lakhs from their possession.
Police said that on January 11, an information was received at Police Station Kalakote that during the intervening night of Jan 10 and 11, incidents of theft took place in Kali Mata Mandir and a house at Sair, Kalakote. In this attempt, burglars decamped with cash and gold ornaments.
In this connection, a case FIR 04/2022 was registered at PS Kalakote and a Special Investigation Team headed by SHO Deepak Pathania and PSI Amit Radhay under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera, Zakir Shaheen Mirza, Adl SP Nowshera Amit Verma was constituted.
During the course of investigation, scores of suspects were picked up and put to sustained questioning and on the basis of technical and human intelligence, two persons namely Sarfaraz Ahmed (23) alias Kala, son of Jameel Ahmed and Fiaz Ahmed (21), son of Mohd Sadiq, both residents of village Garat Broh in Kalakote were picked up, who during sustained questioning, confessed their crime.
On their disclosure, stolen items worth lakhs were recovered that include gold nose pins – 05,
gold ear rings – 02, gold ring – 01, silver bangles – 04, Mangal Sutar – 01 and Rs 12,000 in cash.
